Annual Conference Committee

Thank you to all the sponsors, speakers, committees and participants that made this year’s 30th Annual Conference a huge success! We will soon begin planning for the 2016 Annual Conference in Stone Mountain. If you would like to be more involved please join the conference committee. Contact Karine Brooms at Karine.Brooms@dunwoodyga.gov for more information. In a few short months a survey will be sent out via survey monkey for the upcoming 2016 Conference. We would love your feedback and suggestions!  

 

Career Development Committee

Mark your calendar!

The next Wednesday’s News You Can Use Session is scheduled November 4th, at 10 am in the GGFOA virtual knowledge center.  The topic is 2015 Transportation Funding Act – Legislative Update.  Shaun Adams, the associate legislative director for economic development, transportation, and federal affairs with ACCG will present.  

January 13, 2016 at 10 AM - Joel Black and Miller Edwards of Mauldin and Jenkins will present GASB 68 – Allocation of Pension Liabilities to Financial Statements and Required Note Disclosures

March 9, 2016 at 10 AM Marci Campbell of the Carl Vinson Institute of Government will present MAXGOV.  MAXGOV is designed to help local government leaders more effectively use technological applications such as video-conferencing, web conferencing, social media networks, webpages and blogs to enhance service delivery and maximize citizen involvement.   

May 18, 2016 at 10 AM Beth Grimes of BatesCarter will present on the topic, “Uniform Grant Guidance.”

Registration for each session will be available approximately 4-6 weeks prior to the event.

Scholarship/Awards Committee
