Dear Fellow GGFOA Members,
Our 33rd Annual Conference in Stone Mountain at the Evergreen Marriott Conference Resort is just a few months away, September 30 – October 3, 2018. The annual conference committee has been working extremely hard to prepare for our conference. The theme this year is RACE to the Top (Revenue-Accounting-Customer Service-Excellence). Registration opened the first week in July. The Board has approved a new structure for the conference registration fees which are very similar to other annual conferences. Early registration will begin in July with the normal registration fees. In August the registration fee will increase by $50 and then in September the registration fee will increase by an additional $50. I wanted to let everyone know about the registration fee change so you can take advantage of the early registration fee.
We have received suggestions from past conferences requesting more opportunities for additional classes to get more CPU’S; therefore, some additional training is being offered at this year’s conference on Sunday afternoon. This will be a trial, so if you are interested, please register for these classes.
The President’s reception will be Sunday evening at the pavilion on the lake with a solo guitarist/singer. Tuesday night meal will be a plated dinner with entertainment during the cocktail hour as well as the dinner. After our dinner there will be more entertainment, music and a special opportunity for you to participate in the fun. I hope you will join us and feel free to register to bring a guest to join in the fun.
