GGFOA 2018 Annual Conference

News and Events

GGFOA celebrated its 33rd Annual Conference and is already receiving great reviews! The conference committee takes great pride each year in organizing a powerfully educational agenda, fun optional activities, and entertaining social events. This year was no exception.

The 33rd Annual Conference was held at the Atlanta Evergreen Conference Resort Center. The conference kicked off with the President’s Reception Sunday evening. The attendees were entertained by Nick Bryant, a solo guitarist/musician, who provided great musical entertainment during the event. The next couple of days were packed with informational sessions on current issues and relevant topics. Some attendees found time to enjoy playing a round of golf Monday afternoon at The Stone Mountain Golf Club. Tuesday evening kicked off with our third annual Cocktail Connections which was hosted by SunTrust Bank. Tuesday night’s banquet was like no other! We enjoyed a 30-minute magic show by the amazing Joshua Lozoff and finished off the evening with a DJ and a mechanical bull. Finally, Wednesday’s keynote speaker, Joshua Lozoff, entertained and got everyone excited about returning to work with his presentation on The Magic of Communication.

Thank you to our sponsors for their role in making the conference a success!

It is a pleasure to be part of such a great group of people who come together like it hasn’t been a whole year since we’ve seen each other. We develop true and meaningful connections that are beneficial year round. This year GGFOA hosted their third Toy Drive to support the Pediatric Brain Tumor Foundation (PBTF)! I would like to thank everyone who dropped off a gift card or toy and made a donation. Not only did we help collect an abundance of toys, we collected so many gift cards and cash donations. Truly remarkable and benefiting a great organization!

If you would like to help or donate to the Pediatric Brain Tumor Children’s Foundation please visit their website at

Kind Regards,
