Two (2) scholarships are available for the 2021 PFLA program, which will equip new and emerging public sector financial management leaders wih the knowledge and leadership skills needed to successfully manage the fiscal affairs and activities of a local government or public organization.

Note: Consideration for the PFLA scholarship will be based on acceptance into the PFLA program. The Carl Vinson Institute of Government is accepting applications for the PFLA program through November 30, 2020. GGFOA 2020 Scholarships

GGFOA offers the following scholarships to members on an annual basis:

  • Certificate in Public Financial Management (CPFM) Scholarship – The application deadline for this scholarship was June 1, 2020. Please check back next year!

  • GGFOA Leadership Academy Scholarship – The application deadline for this scholarship was July 15, 2020. Please check back next year!

  • Level 1 Certified Finance Officer Scholarships (3) – The application deadline for this scholarship was August 1, 2020. Please check back next year!

  • Level 2 Certified Finance Officer Scholarship – The application deadline for this scholarship was August 1, 2020. Please check back next year!

  • Annual College Scholarship – The application deadline for this scholarship was September 1, 2020. Please check back next year!

  • Jim Pehrson Annual Conference Scholarship – The application deadline for this scholarship was September 9, 2020. Please check back next year!

Scholarship Fundraising

Fundraising is essential to maintaining adequate funding levels for GGFOA scholarships. The GGFOA Scholarship/Awards Committee is pleased to announce that the 2019 Annual Scholarship Raffle and Silent Auction raised over $4,400. Thank you for your generosity!

Note: Due to the Annual Conference going virtual in 2020, there was no Scholarship Raffle or Silent Auction in 2020.
