Associate Members are individuals who are interested in governmental finance (including, without limitation, auditors, actuaries, investment and commercial bankers and attorneys). Associate members of the corporation shall enjoy all of the rights and privileges enjoyed by members of the corporation, except that such associate members may not hold the office of president, president elect, secretary, treasurer or member of the Executive Board but may vote on any proposed amendment, revision or supplement to these Articles of Incorporation.

Student Members may be held in the Association by any person having a full-time student status at a Georgia college or university. Student members of the corporation shall enjoy all of the rights and privileges enjoyed by members of the corporation, except that such student members shall not be eligible to become an officer if the corporation or a member of the Executive Board of the same or to vote on any matters as to which members or associate members of the corporation may vote.

Retiree Members may be held in the Associate by any formerly active member who has duly retired from employment in a public jurisdiction of the State of Georgia. Retiree members of the corporation shall enjoy all of the rights and privileges enjoyed by members of the corporation, except that such retiree members may not hold the office of the president, president elect, secretary, treasurer or member of the Executive Board but may vote on any proposed amendment, revision or supplement to these Articles of Incorporation.

Honorary Members are individuals designated by the Executive Board. They shall enjoy all of the rights and privileges enjoyed by members of the corporation, except that such honorary members shall not be eligible to become an officer of the corporation or a member of the Executive Board of the same or to vote on any matters as to which members or associate members of the corporation may vote.

Annual Dues

Beginning November 1, 2015, your GGFOA membership status will be determined by payment anniversary date instead of November 1st. This change will have little effect on current members as your renewal date for 2015 is November 1st. Going forward, your renewal date will be the anniversary of your payment date each year. Membership renewal notices will go out to members 14 and 7 days prior to your renewal date with payments due no later than 30 days from your renewal date.
